Years ago, Chris Burgess and William Tribe, two passionate amateur photographers, set out to create Wildlife Panorama, a unique web platform blending a love for wildlife, flora, fauna, and outdoor photography with cutting-edge technology. What began as a personal project grew into a global success, showcasing our ability to deliver innovative, scalable web solutions.
The Project:
We built Wildlife Panorama as a freemium platform, syndicated worldwide, attracting thousands of users. Designed for photographers of all levels, it combined advanced features with a user-friendly experience, demonstrating our knack for turning ideas into functional, engaging digital tools.
Key Features:
- Geolocation Tracking: Integrated Google Maps to pinpoint photo locations, creating a global wildlife photography map.
- Precision Ratings: Enabled high-resolution photo rankings, from 5 stars down to 0.1 increments.
- Gear Selection: Offered dropdown menus to log photography equipment, enhancing community sharing.
- Social Connectivity: Allowed users to connect, share tips, and build friendships globally.
- Expert Blogs: Hosted photographer-written content to inspire and educate.
- Merchandise Marketplace: Let users turn photos into t-shirts or prints, with a commission system for shared images.
The Journey:
After scaling the platform and gaining a strong following, other business ventures—like robotics and internet marketing—took priority, leaving Wildlife Panorama dormant. But its value endured. We recently refreshed the design and relaunched it, keeping it live for its loyal users and as a testament to our development prowess.
Why It Matters:
This project highlights our ability to craft bespoke web platforms that blend creativity, technology, and community. From geolocation to e-commerce, we deliver solutions that engage users and scale globally—perfect for businesses seeking innovative web development with real impact.
